Turkey Taco Bowl Tuesdays!!! (Say that 3x fast)
This is a quick and super easy recipe recipe and one of my favorite meals to prep for a week of lunch!
What you'll need:
1 lb. lean 93/7 turkey
El Paso wheat flour tortilla bowls
taco seasoning (usually comes with the bowls)
Water (2/3 cup)
Optional:
1 bag of black beans (or canned beans tho they contain preservatives w tons of sodium)
1 bag of frozen corn w/ no added preservatives
spniach (lettuce sub.)
fat free cheese
avocado/guacamole
salsa
What to do:
1. Put all of your turkey meat in a saucepan and begin to brown it.
2. Once browned, drain excess liquid and add in taco sauce and 2/3 cup of water.
3. Bring to a boil and then remove lit, turn down and let simmer until it has absorbed most of the taco seasoning and water.
4. Open taco bowls; you can either microwave them (if in a rush) or stick them in the oven on 325 degrees for 7-8 minutes and serve with the turkey meat and any of the toppings you desire!
