Finally! I have finally gathered enough of my notes to be able to drop knowledge on you all as I continue my read through Chancellor Williams informational text, "The Destruction of Black Civilization".
Not only am I completely dissecting this read to put as much information out as I can, but I am breaking it down into understandable terms and references so that you all have an easier time seeing what I see, without all of the extra work!
The first portion of the text is a background of Williams and his research sources and field study documentation. It wasn't the most interesting information to read but it is very clear, as he spent 16 years collecting information, documentation, historical evidence and memoirs to be able to provide countless evidence and factual proof to back up every bit of what he states in this book.
The main questions he sought answers to are those that most people wonder:
1. How was black civilization destroyed?
2. How exactly did the once BLACK Egypt become white?
3. How were BLACK people's achievements covered up over the centuries?
4. Why target black people to begin with???
Before we can really get to answer these questions, one must open their mind to the history of the entire WORLD. "You can't find the root of all races without studying the rest of the world and how it came to be" (Williams).
As for Williams background in his studies:
Of his 16 years spent researching for this text, he studied in Europe, America, Africa, etc, while visiting museums holding REAL African history in them (not the covered up/reinterpreted version) as well as obtaining documentation from libraries with reports/letters from geographers, explorers, captains of slave ships etc. He also covered 2 years of field studies in Africa with written documentaries of his findings.
The important part when dissecting data and evidence is to allow the reader (that would be me or you, of course) to interpret and evaluate for themselves, and to leave opinions and stigmas out of the equation entirely! This is why I am here merely to serve facts and evidence. What you choose to do with them is to your discretion, but I hope I can guide you in a history seeking direction ;).
This entire portion called "The Preview" consist of many parts, though it's entirely TOO MUCH to put into one blog, I will begin splitting up the information into a plethra of posts so that you all can get the most out of YOUR black history.
Be sure to share and subscribe if you haven't already..we are just getting started!
XOXO
