You have to start somewhere..

One of the many questions I get when asked about my knowledge of black history is "What made you want to explore your ancestral roots the way that you have?"

My answer is usually, "Why wouldn't anyone research to know more about where they came from?"

My journey through the unveiling of ancient Kemetism and it's covered truths began about a year and a half ago. My father has been pro black and STEADY in his ever evolving knowledge of ancient black history, though I never really took heed to what he was saying until I'd gotten older and things started to make sense.

Now..what I will say is that I never will intentionally knock any other belief or ideas aside from my own. This portion of my blog is to spread MY knowledge, not to speak against yours. So take it for face value and either research for yourself or not at all. That choice is for you to make, but I truly hope to shine light to some unanswered questions and unlearned history that many have never even thought to dig up themselves.

In the summer of 2015, I spent my vacation time out of school in my hometown, Slidell. My dad usually has his hour or two of listening to lectures and taking his own notes, and after over hearing alot of what he was listening to, I decided to take it upon myself to do my OWN research (it's always important to find your own facts!)

What I found to be truth was very, VERY hard to swallow. Once opening myself to what was true, I knew I could never look at things the same again. Growing up I have always been very active and involved in church, and very stuck to all that I'd known my entire life. In order to get the most out of this research, you truly have to be okay with letting go of what you've always believed and having an open mind to contrary principles and ideas.

I've spent countless hours reading and listening to researchers and I can say that after having an open mind and accepting the truth of everything I now know, I feel so so blessed to have even been able to distinguish true knowledge from the fallacious.

WITH THIS BEING SAID, I hope you take this portion of my blog and read it with the mentality that you want to learn more about BLACK history and empowerment. I have alot of cool ideas and alot of good reads I am preparing for you all soon! If you ever have questions to anything that I post (you will, I promise) hit up the contact portion of CosmicPsyche and I promise to get back to you as soon as possible! Love, Dom.
