HAPPY NYE MY FRIENDS!

I've decided to take a few moments out of my day to share a short recap and a few words for the new year with you all.

As a whole, 2018 was a productive year. I hit some of my highest of highs as well as my lowest of lows all in a matter of a year, and learned so much about myself and life along the way. Often times, people tend to harp on the negative that happens in their lives as it happens, but when taking a look back on all of the fun and good memories the year has held, I can say I made it out of my rough patches and enjoyed myself.. I just know there is real WORK to be done for the new year.

With this being said, I hope everyone has a safe NYE and I encourage each and everyone to write down a few goals that they have for 2019. Create a list, or a vision board to remind you of your goals and to redirect your energy in a positive way so that 2019 may be your best year yet. Love freely. Live without regret. Try new things. Throw out old things. Create memories with people you haven't gotten to share memories with in a while. Eat a food you've never eaten while going to places you have never been. Above all else...ENJOY YOUR LIFE. Life is too short and fragile to settle for anything less.

This month I began my resolution of "living my best life" a bit early. I have only been home around 9 or 10 days out of the entire month, and have spent the rest of my time traveling between 3 states, 8 cities, with friends, family, and loooooots of FOOD. I have had so much fun and it was truly the best way I could have ended such a long, crazy sequence of events from this year. I look forward to sharing more with you all again (I was doing so well about posting often until life happened lol) and that includes a lot of the hair and skin secret hacks you have asked for, new business ventures, a few book reviews I plan to share and much much more.

Anywho, I'm talking too much. I love each of you whether we are friends or strangers and I pray you have the best year ever. Stay tuned for 2019...I have A WHOLE LOT planned and I want everyone to be able to go through this journey of prosperity and self investment with me and embrace their own personal growth as well!

This month I have started a new year goal (Early). Each month I will partake in a new book and try to share a review of each of them with you all. This month, as hectic as it was, I have been hooked on Michelle Obama's book, "Becoming".

This was taken following the assembly of my very first christmas tree in my apartment. It took me an hour to set up and shape, but I was so in love with the outcome and the theme is CLEARLY black and gold! Who dat!

My little brother graduated from the USAF boot camp and is officially an airman! Such a proud moment for him and us!

It was entirely TOO cold for it to have been San Antonio.

Marcus won me a penguin playing one of the games (his strength mixed with my bran knowledge won the big penguin together) We mutually decided Pedro the Penguin was super fitting. Lol

Marcus and I celebrated 2 official years of being together and it was PHENOMENAL.

Champagne and Dessert were on the house all night!

This was so heartfelt and perfect. Marcus knows that my love language is acts of service and words of affirmation. He created a jar with 52 reasons why he loved me and it literally brought tears to my eyes. So sweet.

I named all the animals myself. Lmao

THE BEST WINE I HAVE EVER HAD. Initially, Marcus and I planned to spend our anniversary day tasting wine and deciding on one for the house....we left with 6 bottles. I highly suggest everyone who gets a chance to visit san antonio to stop here!

I completely forgot to take pics with my cousins. But my cousin flew in from TX and we all linked in Baton rouge for dinner and a day in New Orleans following day.

I finished my 365 day no heat challenge and started over with a new color!

We spent Christmas in Jamison, Alabama with Marcus side of the family.

This year, as you know, I began my own business! For Christmas I had an awesome sale and hand packaged local orders so that customers didn't need to worry about wrapping gifts. So cute!

Black & Gold Theme was perfect .

Our last stop of the year ... Houston for a weekend trip and to bring in 2019!

This was a VIBE. Kem is a pure angel. His voice is exactly how it sounds on record. I had the best time of my life vibing to soulful music with my boo.

This game was a blow out, but fun nonetheless. Texans showed out and we had BOMB SEATS.

After a night full of margs and mexican food and before all of the turn up. Happy new year friends, we love u all.
