VIVA LAS VEGAS!

Hiiii lil babies! I've finally had some down time to do some pic editing with the pictures I took with my new camera (S/O to bae) and am ready to share our Las Vegas Christmas experience with you guys! We had so much fun, and I have so many recommendations and reviews for those of you interested in spending time in Vegas and not completely coming home broke lolol.

First things first, the Wynn Casino/Hotel resort was absolutely breathtaking!!!!! I mean, anytime you walk into your hotel and see a longgggggggggggggg list of high end name brand stores, an entire center section of the lobby filled with pieces made of flowers, a casino taking up the entire main floor, and a plethora of restaurants, spa shops, coffee spots and a whole theatre YOU KNOW I'M HOOKED. It was amazing. Everything about the beautiful golden royal themed suite was amazing. The his and her counters, the glass wall window overlooking the entire city, and the high technological trinkets in the room were amazing!!! (Did I mention how extremely soft the mattress was bc omg we could've stayed in bed the entire trip). Our experience at the Wynn was no less than...you guessed it, a m a z i n g. Here's a few pics so you all can see for yourself!

DAY ONE: We went to see the new Jumanji movie, which honestly I did not expect to be as great as it was being that the first was so good! They put a whole new spin on the plot but in a good way (you know most remakes or 2nd movies be poo lol). It was so funny that I saw it again with my mom upon returning from our trip! So that's my first recommendation. Grab ya boo and go see Jumanji 2.

After the movie we toured the Las Vegas strip a bit. It was SO FREAKING COLD I think I cried a little but we got to become a bit familiar with what was near our hotel! There are so many other casino/hotels, quick food stops and a hugeeeeee shopping mall on the strip it was way too much to do in one night, so we decided to rest (jet lag was no joke) and try again the next morning!

DAY TWO: We slept in super late (again, that mattress was no joke boy..) but just in time to go downstairs and have breakfast at the Terrace Point. This place was PHENOMENAL. I promise I'm not just telling yall these good things for nothing!!!! It was so good we were pretty much hooked on spending breakfast there for the rest of the trip. This day in particular I had the chicken and waffle and Marcus had a pancake the size of my head (and if yall know me, you know that bih was huge). The food was so good I ate until I felt sick and couldn't walk. From there we took an Uber to the Orleans Center (they tried to give the area a New Orleans theme but I honestly wasn't impressed) to watch LU play in a basketball tournament which was pretty cool. That night, we got to go and see the Michael Jackson Tribute-Cirque Du Soleil at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. This was probably one of the best experiences I've had. They danced like him, with a whole lot of flipping and spinning and acrobatics in the mix. I'm so upset you couldn't record anything or take pictures. They literally brought MJ back as a holograph and the performers were so talented it brought tears to my eyes. I implore anyone to spend the money on going to see shows in general while in Vegas, but ESPECIALLY this one. It was so worth it. After the show had ended, Marcus and I took another walk on the strip, and found a small Cigar bar named Davidoff of Geneva Cigar Lounge, that offered ladies 2 complimentary glasses of champagne with the purchase of any cigar. That was right up our alley, so you know we went in (twice lol). I tried my first cigar (not as bad as I thought though apparently you're not supposed to inhale the smoke l o l). That was quite possibly the strongest glass of champagne Ive ever had, so you know me and my mans had an enjoyable time that eveningggggggggggglolololol.

DAY THREE: We decided to do a little shopping. We went back to the gar bar and I had more to drink, got a bite to eat (I'll list all my foodie recommendations in the end) and got to see the strip during the day! I will say some wise advice given via uber driver (the best uber experience I ever had btw....the man had candy water and good conversation lol) that when walking the strip, avoid the sidewalks close to the oncoming streets. If you can go up an escalator to get to where you need to go, do it. Vegas drivers are the WORST and as explained to us.....they WILL HIT YO ASS. So be very careful. Take a few pics by street signs but stay away from those streets! That evening we went to another show that was actually inside of our Resort, Le Reve- The Dream at the Wynn Resort and Casino. Another awesome show only this one was in WATER! I managed to sneak a few pics in but you really had to be there. It was so cool to see people being dropped 100+ feet into a pool of water while doing flips off of other people, large objects, and rope! Each show tells a story and I won't give away too many details but this story was also worth hearing. When the show was over, we walked around our resort and window shopped the high end shops (a girl can dream, right?) got some food and got to go experience a Dispensary (you know wut i'm saying). It was literally like your local corner store only they sold cannabis products on their menu but you could get food, drinks, or strands it was LIT. (Though y'all know I'm in school and don't live such a lifestyle it was just for the experience....................... ;)

CHRISTMAS EVE: It's Christmas Eve!!! We woke up early (only bc it was necessary) got dressed, and got coffee (I had lavender lemonade which o m g was so great) to spend the day at the Grand Canyon. This required us to catch a bus at 10am (promptly), drive a few hours to an aircraft that flew us to Arizona for the day where we then explored the Canyon, Road horses, and had lunch! It was soooo much fun and my first time riding horses (didn't fall, be proud!). Marcus's horse had tourettes or something but that was hilarious in itself lol. We took a whole bunch of pictures (Marcus did a great job as he was camera man for the ride) and I will say that the Canyon literally has NO FENCES which is so scary!!!! You can sneeze or trip or something and next thing you know..ploop, you fall 400+ feet to your death. BE CAREFUL lol. My heart was racing as we were standing near the edge just for a good pic. But sometimes a good pic isn't worth being silly and risking your safety so find a ledge with some more ledge beneath it lol!

The night of Christmas eve was our last night in vegas and we spent it in matching onesies :) Marcus absolutely hated them for the public but I know him well enough to know a piece of him thought it was adorable lol. We got so many compliments as we walked the strip to the Bellagio Resort and Casino for the water show which was pretty cool! We also found hood Mickey Mouse in the streets, and just had a good time with the rest of the tourists for the night.

CHRISTMAS DAY: It was time to leave and I was soooo upset! We started the morning at the same coffee spot in the Wynn where I got my lavender lemonade and egg white burrito, then went by the slot machines for a little while until it was time to head to the airport. I will say the plane ride back was A STORY TO TELL (a little girl blew up the restroom and everyone from mid-back seats were on the verge of death by foul dooty odor) We spent Christmas day in Houston, Texas with some of Marcus's family and had a great time.

Overall my experience in Vegas was SO MUCH FUN! 1. There is no such thing as bad food in Vegas, and I'm a picky foodie. 2. Theres SO MUCH TO DO I couldn't do half of what I wanted to in 4 days. and 3. This is a really great trip to take especially if you're in a relationship, because the number of dates are endless..

FOOD RECOMMENDATIONS:

-Strip Burger (I got the turkey burger and omg....I wanted to go back the next morning for more)

-Terrace Point at the Wynn YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST TRY FOR BREAKFAST even if you don't stay in the Wynn!

-Sugar Factory (If you like sugary drinks they have a goblet that smokes up when you drink it which was cool but too sugary for my liking lol)

-Wazuzu

-Mizumi

-Anydamnwhere on the strip

Here are some pics from our trip! I put captions on some so you'd know a bit more of what you're looking at or where we were. Enjoy. (I tried posting in the order we did things but for whatever reason the first 17 pics are out of order and without captions... sorry! lol)
