Greetings readers!
So finals week is among us and it is now the very last month of this very productive year! I must say 2017 has been a huge season of growth for myself.
I have overcome many obstacles and grasped many of my goals, including successfully completely Advanced A&P (thank God), buying my first legal drink (grown woman now, ya feel me) flourishing immensely within my relationship, regaining my long hair length and strength, and being accepted into nursing school amongst many other things! This year has been what I will call my "cocoon" year.
What do I mean by that? Well, in 2016 I faced a plethora of obstacles, mainly involving what I wanted to do with my major (Started off Nursing then switched to Exercise Science for a year and am now back in Nursing) and trying to establish myself financially. I wasn't quite sure where or what I wanted at that point, and I think now to the phases of a butterfly: The caterpillar, the cocoon, and then the beautiful butterfly... & I realize that at that unstable portion of my life I was a dubious caterpillar, just trying to find my niche.
This year, on the contrary, was a year of pure growth, such as the caterpillar during its time in its cocoon. I got myself and my finances together. I know where I want to be in my future career. I'm determined to get to be that beautiful butterfly! Through the many ups and not too many downs I've managed to prevail, and that keeps me confident in my ability to see anything through.
I say all of this in preparation for 2018 because that will be my "butterfly" year. One thing I wish I could have accomplished was further pushing my blog publicly this year (because I began in January of 2017 and though I have MANY who keep up with it I could be doing so much more with the outlets I have) and I still have other goals I have yet to hit on the head as I'd like to. Next year not only shall I make it a priority to achieve all of my short term goals, I will experience a prolonged phase of prosperity. I know in Nursing school you will face challenges daily, that's why I love what I do. But as far as staying on top of everything while achieving all extracurricular goals of mine....2018 is my year.
I hope that YOU ALL make it a priority to experience your butterfly year too.
Have a successful finals week, Happy studying :)
XOXO;
