Fun Fact: Favorite quote 🙂

My favorite quote of all time, as simple and insignificant as it may seem, is the one tattooed across my wrist stating "Still I Rise." This quote was taken out of Maya Angelou's "Still I Rise" poem, as I truly found the poem to be of great strength and could apply it to the trials faced in my own life as a young black woman. 

The attitude and sass in the poem is soooooo perfect. From the moment I was introduced to Maya Angelou and found this work I knew it would stick to me for life. 

For no matter what I endure in this lifetime and how hard each obstacle may seem, I will ALWAYS rise with the confidence and self assurance that I have always possessed and that all strong, independent black women should possess. ❤️
