Simply put, love your skin and it will love you back.
Often times life gets in the way of tending to every day skin care needs, but its important to stay on top of your game so that when you're old & ( not so wrinkly), your skin will still look young and untouched. #DontCrackYOURblack
I'm going to go through a list of my favorite skin care products, along with any cheaper alternatives that I have tried.

FIRST THING FIRST...THERE ARE LEVELS TO THE SKIN YOU'RE IN.
Skin care application is a process!

With these steps in mind, it is important for you to make a conscious effort to find facial products that fit the needs of your particular skin type.
Morning Skin Routine
1. Wash your face with the facial cleanser of your choice!
ANGELS ON BARE SKIN by LUSH Cosmetics
(4.0oz $15.95; 8.4 oz $38.95)

LUSH LUSH LUSH! I am completely OBSESSED with Lush Cosmetics.
Not only are all of their products fresh, preservative free and 100% NATURAL, but they all smell amazing and a little truly goes a long way. This product in particular was gifted to me, and I have been using it faithfully ever since! Natural based products will make such a huge difference, as the few extra dollars you invest into your skin care will really show in the way that you glow!
Some cheaper alternatives that have worked for me are listed below.

2. Apply your toner!
ROSE WATER IS YOUR BEST FRIEND!
I will save my in depth description of the benefits of using rose water for a later post, but I can vouch that not only is it a great natural toner with a plethora of skin benefits, but it also is very inexpensive and super easy to make yourself!
There are many store brands of rose water to choose from, so pick one up and get to toning!
Alternatives:
-YES to tomatoes acne clearing facial toner ($7-9) Target
-Simple soothing facial toner ($5.99) Target
-So Totally Clean Micellar Cleansing Water (5.99) ULTA
3. Moisturize.Moisturize.MOISTURIZE!
This is VERY important! What a waste to put so much money into skin care products, and still be left with dry, dull skin! Also, you can opt to use a day cream of your choice as skin moisturizer (I use Estee Lauder/Lancome) for maximum skin glow results.
Full of Grace serum by LUSH Cosmetics ($15.95)

Okay..this right here....this is the HOLY GRAIL of all moisturizers! Oh my goodness, I cannot express enough how worth while this product has been to me! The money invested will be so so worth this little bar of magic. Your skin will instantly glow and feel as smooth as butter after the very first use! All natural and overall an amazing moisturizing serum bar.
Another favorite...First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer ($24.00)

Now this product is a little pricy for such a small amount, but again, a little bit goes a LONG way!
I received a sample of this moisturizer in my Ipsy bag subscription, and I fell in love. You can use it on both your face and body, and you are guaranteed to stay moisturized the entire day! So worth the extra $, and can be purchased at your nearby Walmart or Sephora.

4. Last but certainly not least...put on some sunscreen!
This is the last (but most important) step of your morning skin routine (unless you plan to apply your make up; primer and make up application would follow this step).
Sunscreen is oh so very vital to keeping healthy, even, glowing skin. You should be using it year round, and not just in the summer when the sun is beaming against your skin! Even on cool cloudy days, the sun's UV rays are just as strong and damaging as they are on hot, dry summer days. So, find a sun blocker and get to blocking!
Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry touch Sunblock ($6.99) Target

Although you don't have to be too picky with sunscreen, you need to be mindful of the climate in your area and your skin type to chose the level of sun protection you need. This sunblock is my favorite, and inexpensive (yas). It comes in different levels of SPF to block UVA and UVB rays, and is super fast absorbing/light weight! It's also a matte finish sunscreen, so your face won't look super heavy with product prior to leaving the house or applying make up.
12 HOURS LATER....
Now it's time to get ready for bed after a long day of prancing around with fresh, glowing skin :)
Night time skin care is super important, as you've been exposed to all types of germs and funk. You want to make sure you get rid of all those foreign dirt dirts before you get into bed!
1. Clean your face!
If you have been wearing a face of make up all day, it's important to find a good make up remover (I use Estee Lauder "Take it Away" makeup remover lotion ($30) , but there are MANY drug store goodies for cheaper prices)
After you take off your made up face, grab your facial cleanser (as described in the morning care routine) and cleanse again!
2. Tone...Again!
Whether you have your rose water or drug store toner, apply once more before bed to remove oil and any leftover traces of unseen dirt from your skin.
3 & 4. Find a serum that fits you & if needed, apply spot treatment as well.
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair (Travel Size; 16$) Ulta

This is personally my favorite serum ever! It's on the higher end, but again (phrase of the day) a little goes a L O N G way! I use a pea size amount and apply it to my face, leaving it soft and smooth, and giving me the assurance that I will wake up to youthful, radiant skin in the morning! The full bottle is around 60$, so if you'd like to try this I recommend purchasing the travel size for $16.
If you have acne, it's important to find a spot treatment that works best for you and use it along with a skin serum. You want to get rid of all impurities, not just treat them! I recommend looking into lush cosmetics or going to your dermatologist for prescribed acne medication.
Cheaper Alternative Serums
5. Eye cream
This step is optional, but highly recommended. Nobody wants to have tired, baggy under eyes!
Below I will name a few drug store eye cream products that will work perfectly fine, no need to go above and beyond for this unless you have really dark eye circles (I'd recommend using a high end brand like Estee Lauder or Clinique)
6. Facial Oil (optional)
This step are for those who have SEVERE dry skin. I would recommend an argon oil or natural oil for your skin, because it needs all of the extra oils it can get!
7. Moisturizer/Night Cream
Finally. The last step before bed, but one of the many important steps. I listed great moisturizers in the beginning of this post, but it wouldn't hurt to look into a night cream to get your skin to it's maximum glow potential!
Lancome Bienfat Multi-Vitamin Night Cream ($52)

This is my go to night cream. It's a high potency night moisturizer that is filled with vitamins and leaves your face baby booty soft!
No7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream Normal/Dry skin is a great alternative that would be the next best product! ($15) You can find this product at Ulta.
*BONUS STEP*
It is super important to use a facial mask of some sort once or twice a week! Drug stores sell a variety of vitamin filled masks individually for around $1,
though I recommend Mask of Magnaminty Face and Body Mask by Lush Cosmetics. (11.1 oz $26; 4 oz $15)
Now that I've introduced you to all of these products, its important to look through them and read on which would best fit your needs! Though not every product on this post is a necessity, ALL are very important components of achieving the faultless, beautiful and glowing skin that you have always dreamed of! I will be posting further reviews of specific products and newer ones as I try them out. Leave any suggestions or feedback for me and I will be happy to hear from you! Xoxo. -Dom
